The culture of Seychelles
is just as mixed as its population. Indeed, it is a mixture of African, European (mostly french), British and Asian traditions. This is why the culture is particularly rich. The main European influence is French: in creole language, food and religion. The French introduced Roman Catholism. Local music and dance mirror African traditions, both play an important role in Seychellois society.
