On May 17, 2024, the Honorary Consulate of Seychelles in Zug, Switzerland, Mr Jean Pierre Latour  welcomed the Consul of Kosovo in Zurich, Switzerland, Mr Viga Berisha for a significant diplomatic meeting. This event, held at the Seychelles Consulate, aimed to bolster relations and explore cooperation opportunities between Seychelles and Kosovo.

Given the current restrictions preventing Kosovo nationals from entering the Seychelles, the consulates discussed potential pathways to resolve these issues. They explored ways to streamline visa processes and remove barriers, aiming to make it possible for Kosovo citizens to visit the Seychelles in the future.

Mr. Jean Pierre Latour, the Consul of Seychelles in Switzerland, informed Sylvestre Radegonde, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Seychelles, that there are 245,000 Kosovo nationals living in Switzerland who are fully integrated. The Minister expressed a desire to find a practical solution to enable these individuals to spend their holidays with their families in the Seychelles.
