The F4S programme, a collaboration between the F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO), was launched locally in Seychelles on Thursday, the 23rd<\/sup> March 2023.<\/p>\n In attendance at the event were \u00a0H.E. Mr. Wavel Ramkalawan<\/a>, the President of the Republic of Seychelles, Mr. Ralph Jean-Louis, Principal Secretary for Youth and Sports, Mrs. Fatimata Sidibe, Fifa\u2019s F4S programme Director, Mr. Elvis Chetty, President of the Seychelles Football Federation (SFF) and Mr. Jean Pierre Latour, Honorary Consul of Seychelles in Switzerland.<\/p>\n 40 educators have been trained by Fifa F4S Manager Mr. Antonio Sanchez and the Technical Consultant Mr. Alberto Giacomini.<\/p>\n The programme aims to contribute to the education, development and empowerment of children by making football more accessible to both boys and girls worldwide. It seeks to incorporate football activities into the education system in partnership with relevant authorities and stakeholders.<\/p>\n \u00a0The Seychelles Football Federation (SFF) will run the programme locally, alongside the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Family, and the National Sports Council (NSC).<\/p>\n Mrs. Sidibe and Mr. Jean Pierre Latour engaged in a lengthy conversation with Mr. Justin Valentin, the Minister of Education, during which Minister Valentin expressed his full support for the program.<\/p>\n The project was realised in Seychelles thanks to the Honorary Consul of the Seychelles in Switzerland, Mr Jean Pierre Latour, who convinced Mr. Youri Djorkaeff, former CEO of FIFA-foundation to develop the program in the Seychelles.<\/p>\n The programme promotes targeted life skills and competencies through football, and its values are not limited to sports, but also related to everyday life skills. The aim is to bring positive changes in children, molding them into good and exemplary citizens of the country, by teaching them values such as respect and the leaving together.<\/p>\n The F4S
